The Lynch Mob

Hi everyone,

As many of you know John began attending the Darnell School in Hudson MA two years ago. The Darnell School is a small, non profit school with ABA based programming that provides intensive educational and behavioral instruction to students with autism and developmental disabilities in a highly structured setting. The staff at Darnell are so amazing and truly work so hard with the kids to help them reach their goals!  In the two short years since he has been there he has made amazing progress across all areas! He is currently participating in two off site jobs. One job he has is at Christopher Heights Assisted Living in Marlboro MA setting up and serving lunch in the dining room to residents, the other is serving meals for Meals on Wheels in Hudson MA. He is assisted in these settings by his job coach. Two years ago I would have never thought it possible for John to be able to do this. We are so grateful we have found this placement for him which is why we want to help support them this way.

Please support me as I raise funds for HMEA at the “11th Annual Independence 5K Walk/Run in the Park” being held on Sunday, May 20, 2012. 100% of the funds we raise for Darnell School go DIRECTLY to DARNELL!! They will be able to utilize the funds to supplement things for the classrooms and school that are not otherwise covered in their budget. This will allow them to expand on what they are teaching and how they are teaching the students and will directly benefit all of the students at Darnell.

I know times are tough for everyone right now but no donation is too small! We hope you can support our efforts in some small way! I am personally writing you today to ask you to join me in “making a difference” in someone’s life!

HMEA has been a leading provider of community-based supports for over 50 years. To learn more about HMEA please visit their website at
