Maddie and Annette met six years ago when Annette was Maddie's counselor at WyldLife Camp.  That week of crazy antics and conversations started a great friendship.  Now, Maddie is a senior in high school, is serving as a WL leader herself,  and Annette is on WyldLife Staff in Hinsdale, IL. 

While the two of us were attending Suburban Life Community Church, Pastor Tim Hoekstra shared his vision for celebrating his Jubilee Birthday (Leviticus 25 is one Scripture source teaching on this idea).   God put it on his heart to run 50 miles and raise $50,000 through Team World Vision to celebrate 50 years of undeserved life.  As he was sharing, Maddie leaned over and said, "Annette, let's run this."  And here we are.  Neither of us are Marathon runners; actually, we're hardly runners at all.  But, our goal is to run alongside Pastor Tim during the Marathon portion of his day, and together, to fundraise two of his 50 miles and raise $2,000. 

By achieving the $50,000 goal, 10 new freshwater wells will be installed in Kenya.  This will immediately impact the quality of life for 3,000 Kenyans, not to mention the generations to come.
