Hello! I am excited to announce that in 2011, I will be running the Boston Marathon for Team Eye and Ear AGAIN!
This will be my second marathon, and I am running again for my Mom and also to raise money for the for Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Specifically to fund research for Best’s Disease, a genetic form of Macular Degeneration. While there is no current treatment, there are research studies underway searching for a cure. I hope that my efforts will help to further the research that is already being done.
Running the Boston Marathon in 2010 was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go through it all again.
Last year with the help and support family and friends I was able to raise over $5,700! I hope to be able to reach that same goal again this year. Running the marathon again is a physical and new personal goal, and I greatly appreciate and thank you for your support!
