Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. I will be running the Falmouth Road Race on August 12, 2012 for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation. Being part of Dougie's Team is an honor! As most of you know, autism has been part of my life for a long time. My first exposure to a person living with autism occurred when I was back as a college student and my young niece was diagnosed. I have watched a tremendous amount of strength and love bring her to where she is today. She is now at college living a successful and productive life. Since her diagnosis, I decided to pursue a career in special education and applied behavior analysis. My life has been blessed with witnessing the hard work of so many students, families and professionals who dedicate so much to improving life for those affected by autism. I will draw upon that strength that I see every day, as it will inspire me as I train and run.
The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation is dedicated to increasing the awareness of autism and the unique challenges of families who are faced with it every day. The foundation is dedicated to supporting families by helping them find the resources they need and by funding advocacy programs as well as educational, therapeutic and recreational opportunities. I couldn't be more proud to raise money for such a wonderful organization. Please support me in reaching my goal of $1,000!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
