Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
On May 9th to May 13th 2012 I will be participating in the Police Unity Tour. This is a bicycle marathon in support of fellow Law Enforcement Officers that have been died in the line of duty and their families. The ride consists of 300 plus miles and embarks from East Hanover,New Jersey to Washington D.C. for National Police Week.
The actual route itself is East Hanover to Edison, NJ which is 60 miles. Day two is from Edison, NJ to Wilmington, Delaware 100 miles. Day three is Wilmington, Delaware to Annapolis, MD 100 miles. Our final day which seems to be the hardest is Annapolis, MD to Washington, D.C. 60 miles.
As a donor your money supports the tour and the National Law Enforcement Memorial. Your funds will be used in the process of adding the names of those who gave the ultimate sacrafice. Last year the Police Unity Tour donated $1.5 Million. Our donation went towards a $1.1million restoration project that included the re-engraving, coating and sealing of the 18,983 names on the memorial as well as cleaning of the walls. Speaking to a family member who lost an officer in the line of duty, she was very happy to be able to clearly see the improvement.
