Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate, too.
***********
We recently announced auditions for the fourth year of our touring musical, "The New Kid," a show about bullying, cliques, standing up for what you believe in, and being true to yourself. The show carries so many important messages and has been the centerpiece for many anti-bullying programs at the 50+ schools where we have performed. The response from parents, teachers and cast members has been overwhelming. The themes of the production are more relevant now than ever; in addition, we have continued to provide intensive musical theater training to the cast members who perform with the show at no cost.
In order to continue providing this free program to students, and low-cost character education to schools, we recently applied for a grant with the NEA. Our hope was to receive enough funding so that we could continue to offer the program for free to the children in it, and inexpensively to the schools who book it. I just found out that we did not get any funding and am reaching out to you today to see if you might be interested in donating to help support the program. While we will certainly apply for next year's NEA grant, right now my goal is to raise $7,000 privately so that we know we have the funds to begin rehearsals in the fall.
