THIS IS EXTREME BIRDING!

This thought kept running through my mind last year and it's my motto this year.

Thanks for checking out my Bird-a-thon fundraising page. I am participating in the Mass Audubon Bird-a-thon 2010, a 24-hour birding event during which my team will count as many Massachusetts bird species as we can, raise money for important conservation programs, have fun outdoors and compete for prizes!

I had an absolute BLAST last year in this event. The Stony Brook Team counted 168 species of birds and raised $11,000 for our sanctuary. Last year my birding area was upper Cape Cod and I'll be birding the Cape again this year. I plan to expand the range of sites I visit and the number of members on my team. The birds add up quickly and I can't wait to get out there and start counting.
