2nd Annual Comfort Zone Camp's Grief Relief Team Runs the DISNEY World Marathon/Half Marathon
Hi Everyone and thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Some of you know that I choose to spend several weekends per year volunteering as a Big Buddy at Comfort Zone Camp. Last year a group of dedicated volunteers decided that we should blend our loves of running and camp and run for the cause. Combined the team raised over $40,000 to send grieving kids to camp. Last year I ran the marathon but this year its bigger...its......
Disney World's Race and Half Challenge: A 39.3-mile adventure where participants will run the Half Marathon on Saturday, followed by the Marathon on Sunday.
Its nuts, but its for the kids!
Here's where you can help. The team has set an even bigger fundraising goal than last year. This is why I need your help. Help sponsor my run. My fundraising goal is $500 and every penny goes to help the kids at Comfort Zone Camp help heal from their loss.
Donating through this website is fast, easy and secure. It is the best way to support our efforts.
Many thanks for your support and please pass this information to anyone else who may be interested in giving.
About Comfort Zone Camp
Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone Camps are offered to children 7-17, and are held year-round across the Country. We have offices in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia.(http://www.comfortzonecamp.org/)
