Ariella Angell's Fundraising Page
Through my time volunteering at the University of Washington Medical Center (3 years) and with the Red Cross (1 1/2 years) I have come to realize how much one person can do, with the help and support of others. The people of Haiti have had their homes, country, friends, and families destroyed by this earthquake. The need for assistance will not stop. After the earthquake comes the disease and sickness, and the people of Haiti need all the help they can get. It is my mission to raise money for Doctors without Borders because I know that they do fantastic work, and I hope to volunteer with them in the future. Think of the people in Haiti. Think of the children without families to care for them. Think of those wandering the destroyed streets, seeing the collapsed houses, dead bodies, and wondering when their turn will come. Think of those starving, without food or water to carry them forward. Think of America. Think of everything we have. Cellphones, shoes, computers, clothing, food, sanitation systems, fresh water. Everything that we take for granted every day is what the people of Haiti need. So put off buying that pair of shoes or that new jacket that you don't really need. Instead, donate to help the people of Haiti get fresh water and medical care. Please, they need our help.
