Welcome to the First Giving page of the 10K for Naandi Challenge! Through this page you can make all your donations and sponsorships for our challengers, from everywhere in the world. The total amount raised will be transferred to Project Nanhi Kali through the Mahindra Foundation, who work together with the Naandi Foundation.

First Giving takes a small fee for allowing events to raise money on a global scale to cover the costs of the transactions and maintaining the site. Please do not let that stop you from donating!

Project Nanhi Kali was initiated in 1996 by K.C. Mahindra Education Trust to provide 10 years of quality education to under privileged girls and is currently jointly managed with Naandi Foundation. The Mahindra Foundation a 501(c)(3) registered non profit partners with Nanhi Kali in India.  Nanhi Kali, in collaboration with 25 grassroot partner NGO's, currently supports the education of over 50,000 underprivileged girls in poor urban, rural and tribal communities of India. 

A single donation of $65 (for girls studying in Grade 1-7) & $85 (for girls studying in Grade 8-10) will provide the girl with not just academic support round the year but also material support including uniform, shoes, socks etc which will enable her to go to school with dignity and attain grade specific learning competencies. 

Here is a breakdown of how the money will be used by NanhiKali :-

Sponsorship Cost    $65/$85

Provision of uniforms, notebooks, stationery, exam fees, learning material, hygiene material for girls 38%

Academic support, organizing summer camps, events for parents and community 45%

Donor services (mailing to the donor detailed profiles of the children with photographs, progress reports) 10%

Administrative Cost 7%
