Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. On October 18, 2009 I hope to cross the finish line of my very first marathon. I run as an employee of Minute Man Arc for Human Services, but more importantly a sister to an individual with developmental disabilities. At the age of 7 months my sister suffered a horrible accident that changed her life forever. In a time of utter despair, my family found support in many agencies including MMA. Today my sister is 33 years old and MMA continues to provide support services to her and my family.
The current fiscal disaster of our state and country has lead to drastic financial cuts in the human services field. The prospect of growth is small however the need for services increases daily. My goal October 18, 2009, is to cross the finish line at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, with at least 100.00 dollars for every mile I have run. I would like to see this money raised go towards nutritional and exercise programs for individuals serviced by MMA residential Programs.
