Ellie Riddle's Fundraising Page
Let's go Team Ellie!!
Ellie is asking all her family and friends to help support her on September 18th at the 2nd Annual Spina Bifida Awareness walk. We will be out of town during this wonderful event but will be virtually walking in honor SBAK! We raised $2100.00 last year which was amazing and are hoping to match that again this year. Let's show Ellie how proud we are of her.
This is a wonderful fundraising event for SBAK which offers support to those who are affected by Spina Bifida. SBAK works hard to promote the prevention of Spina Bifida as well as enhance the lives of those affected by SB. Spina Bifida is a birth defect where the spinal cord does not enclose properly which allows for the nerves and spine to be damaged. This leads to loss of movement (paralysis), bowel and bladder malfunction and hydrocephalus (a build up of fluid in the brain).
We have been absolutely blessed! Ellie is walking and leading the life of a normal, very active three year old. This year she is looking forward to starting preschool and is enthusiastic about everything she does! Although there will be bumps in the road in the future we know that with the perseverance and determination Ellie possesses she will overcome them all!
The Walk, Stroll and Roll fundraiser will be September 18th 11:30am at Norton Commons. It is a 1 mile walk and yes Ellie will be walking that day just not in Louisville. Although we will not be there the event should be tons of fun if you wish to attend! There will be great food (free!), live music, face painting, cornhole, and a basket raffle!
Thank you for considering a donation of your time and/or dollars. This is a very special cause that Ellie and her family hold dear to their hearts!
