First I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my fund raising page. Orange Grove Center is very near and dear to me. In April of 2005 I was a recent college graduate looking for a job. I answered an ad in the local newspaper for Orange Grove Center. I was hired as Direct Support Personnel in an ICF (Intermediate Care Facility) home. While working day by day with the residents of this home I quickly began to realize that this was more than just a job. I watched and assisted each resident in becoming the best they could be.

I then transfered to the Supported Living Department as a Live in Companion. Which is what I currently do. In this department clients reside in their own homes/apartments in the community. Staff assist them in becoming as independent as possible. Most clients in Supported living have regular jobs that they work in the community.

While working at Orange Grove I have received such joy in watching our clients grow into successful and productive members of our society. However, all of these services and several other services/programs that Orange Grove provides require funding. They require funding not only for the day to day operating but also for future expansion and research to improve them.

This is where you come in. You might think that you can't help since you are unable to donate a lot. Well I am here to tell you that any amount no matter how small you think it is will be greatly appreciated. There are several ways to donate.
