Libby, Ben, and Ed in Nicaragua: March 2011
Last year, Libby convinced me to go with her and five other girls (and four dads) to Nicaragua for a week to build a house for a Nicaraguan family. We landed in Managua not knowing quite what to expect.
We left a week later exhilarated by what we had achieved and by the infectious enthusiasm and warmth of the Nicaraguans we met -- family, community members, masons, school students, and a team of young basketball players. The Nicaraguans manage to sing, dance, and smile despite a poverty level second only to Haiti in the western hemisphere.
Libby and I are going back to Nicaragua during the March vacation, and Ben is joining us. We will build another house near Nindiri, about 40 miles south of Managua. We hope you will support us in this effort to defray a portion of our trip fees, which will support us and Bridges as we build a house for another family and build bridges between our countries.

Thanks for your help,
Libby, Ben, and Ed
