Bamboomoves Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting the Bamboomoves Nicaragua Retreat donation page of 2011!
Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere. Despite advances in other parts of Latin America, more than half of Nicaragua live on less than one US dollar a day, and the annual per capita income is less than US $500.
The high level of poverty is an obstacle to sustainable development, especially in rural areas where there is lack of access to basic services (i.e. health care, education, and housing that will remain strong and dry through the rainy season).
This is where we come in. Bamboomoves and friends are going to Nicaragua with the main focus being building a house for an impoverished family. We are looking for some donations to go towards airfare and other necessities for our trip. We might not reach our goal but we ask you to please donate what you can and know your money will go towards a great cause.
Many thanks for your time and support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
