BULLY PAWS PIT BULL PATRIOTS INC

Bully Paws for Hogan

Bully Paws for Hogan

We’re asking your support to help a wonderful family who adopted a shelter dog from Bully Paws this past October. Please take a moment to read his story.

Hogan was pulled from the Montgomery County Humane Society last fall. His foster mom fell in love with him the second she met him and brought him home with her that day. Hogan was quickly adopted by a family who was ready to provide a life full of happiness and love.

Unfortunately, a month later, Hogan was diagnosed with lymphoma. His doctors had never seen such a young dog with such an aggressive form of lymphoma. He was critically ill and deteriorating quickly, and Hogan's family discussed treatment options with his vets, deciding on chemotherapy to prolong his life.

Hogan responded to chemo and regained his energy, becoming the happy, young pit that he was supposed to be. Unfortunately, about three months later, Hogan relapsed. His decline was rapid, and he passed away two weeks later on April 1, 2011. Hogan was only two years old.

Dogs like Hogan don't come around often. Even through his grueling treatment, his spirit didn't waiver. He always welcomed a hug and thanked everybody with a kiss. Hogan will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Hogan’s adoptive family generously paid for all of his care, despite Hogan’s diagnosis coming just weeks after they adopted him. However, Hogan’s care was very costly, and we’re asking for your help in repaying some of their kindness. All of your donations will go directly toward his medical bills. Thank you.
