The Jersey Shore Powder Puff League (JSPPL) is an all FEMALE flag football league founded in Somers Point, New Jersey. These ladies are committed to playing hard and getting down and dirty for a good cause! I have created this league in the memory of my Dad, Allen "Randy" Carney. He was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2005 and passed away from this catastrophic disease on August 26th 2006.
Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious disease that causes progressive scarring of your lung tissue. The lung scarring that occurs in pulmonary fibrosis can't be reversed, and no current treatment has proved effective in stopping the ultimate progression of the disease. Some treatments, though, may improve symptoms temporarily or slow the disease's progress. Others help improve quality of life.
The only way to conquer this disease is with your concern and support!!!
