111/11/09 LATE BREAKING NEWS!!

After blowing through our original target, our generous friends and supporters have continued to get behind our bit of madness and we will break through the $17,000 mark very soon. Why don't you be the person to make it happen by giving your support NOW?

With just 48 hours to go, we need a concerted PUSH from everyone now to get that total as high as that building. With the strong possibility of rain during the event Friday these guys are going to do it tough - GIVE THEM YOUR SUPPORT!

I1/06/09 UPDATE:

Checked the site this morning to find that we blew right through the target overnight - fantastic!! Mahalo to all of you. With your help, we are on our way to $20,000.  If you have not had the opportunity to pledge your support yet - DO IT NOW!

On Friday, 13th November, 2009 (who picked that date, anyway?) several of us crazy folk from Tesoro's Kapolei Refinery Rescue Team have committed to go “Over the Edge” for the athletes of Special Olympics Hawaii by rappelling 31 floors (that's 315 feet) down the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Check it out on the left!!!!

Going over the Edge and fearless to the end will be Lance Dolera, Francis Gamata, Ellison Fernandez, Robert Hoffman, Peter Kwak, Mike Van DeGrift , Scott Malton and Barry Whitfield.

We are asking for your help. Our goal is to raise at least $14,000 (UPDATE - make that as much as possible) and with your support and the very generous dollar for dollar match by Tesoro (thank you, Tesoro!) we can do this, but we need you to act now.  If you haven't pledged yet, we need you to open that wallet right now!
