Polar Plunge 2011
Aloha Family and Friends!
Mark your calendars for Saturday 5th March. Yes, I'm back for my third "Super Plunge" in yet another crazy adventure where I put my body on the line to motivate you to donate to Special Olympics Hawaii.
FAQ:
Is it cold? Very.
Does it hurt? Look at the photo (me in first ever plunge). What do you think?
But does it work? Yes.
Every year lots of sick people err, generous supporters step up to the plate and in exchange for me hitting the ice, support the women and men of Special Olympics Hawaii. If you keep giving, I'll keep doing it.
This year I'll be "Freezin' for a Reason" twelve times between dawn and dusk on the lawn at Restaurant Row. As a "Super Plunger" I have pledged to raise at least $1,000, but i know from previous years that we can easily beat that so let's kick things off with my pledge to match the first $500 that you donate. Whatever you can afford - $25, $50, $100 or more - it's all for a great cause.
You can donate through this site or send your check made out to Special Olympics Hawai‘i. Be sure to place my name in the memo line to make sure that I know to include it in the $500 match. Please send the check to:
