MUSIC IS HEALING! is the theme for the 6th Annual Beautiful Minds Walk.  We chose this theme after the Dennis and Jan Conner family agreed to be the honorary chairs.  Their son Michael was a gift musician who lost his battle with mental illness in 2006. 

This event has been healing to their family for the past 5 years, and we want to inspire others that people can and do get better.  The US Surgeon General says 1 in 4 people will be diagnosed with a mental disorder in their lifetime.  One in 17 will have a serious mental illness like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). 

The Center serves more than 5,000 adults and youth in Central Montana.  More than 900 of these clients are veterans, and 700 are youth ages 18 mos to 18 years old.  As the demand for services rises, the reimbursement rates shrink.  This regional signature event helps raise money and awareness for vital mental health programs.
