As most of you know I am highly involved with Special Olympics. For the second year in a row I am going to be raising money for our local program. Last year I took part in the 24 hour Polar Plunge. This year I have talked my brother into joining me in the Plunge. This year we will be once again jumping into a cold body of water not once but 24 times over a 24 hour period. Last year I finally got my brother involved with Special Olympics and not only is it a time where we can spend time together but a time where we can help people with disabilities at the same time. This fundraiser will help the Santa Clarita Special Olympics but new uniforms and equipment for the 500+ athletes that are in our program. What I am asking of you who are reading this e-mail is to donate anything you have (if anything) to the organization. My brother and I have set a goal of $5000 to raise for Special Olympics. This is my second year doing the polar plunge. This year I have talked my Brother into doing it with me. Since Casey has been involved with the program he has been hooked. He stared out doing skiing and since then has been coaching basketball, hockey, and softball. This year he will become a Unified Partner and play along side our athletes in Basketball.This august I will be starting my 8th year in Speical Olympics. This organization has brought so much joy into my life. I have met so many great friends over the years. I volunteer for 9 sports year round. With your donation to my page we are able to provide each athlete with uniforms, buses to and from tournaments, sports equiptment and so much more. Any amount that you donate will be greatly appreciated.
