On Saturday, July 9th, poets and poetry lovers will string together 300 minutes of poetry in a P-O-E-T-H-O-N fundraiser for the Tennessee youth poets headed to the national teen slam festival this summer and for the Youth Speaks Nashville programs and organization. The event will take place at Simple Syrup Design House next door to Pied Piper Creamery between 4 and 9p at 114 South 11th Street. The show will culminate with a performance by the slam team, featuring some of their newest pieces.

We are building an aspirational artistic path for all young Tennessee writers which will drive literacy, intrinsic motivation, critical thinking, and positive community conversation and action.
