We're stepping out to stomp out bleeding disorders, including hemophilia. Many of you may already know that my son Benji Johnson was born with severe hemophilia A. His body lacks the ability to produce the factor necessary to clot blood and stop bleeding. Left untreated, hemophilia results in spontaneous internal bleeding---damaging joints and organs.

The Johnsons will be joining other families with bleeding disorders, hiking around St. Paul August 6, while raising donations for the Hemophilia Foundation of MN and the Dakotas. HFMD is dedicated to advancing the quality of life for individuals and families affected by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, by providing a broad range of services and programs.
