Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. has a proven track record and an eight year history of partnering with local conservation organizations, youth organizations and state fish and wildlife agencies recruiting mentors who have spent quality time outdoors with a child. Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors is currently working with Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations in Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin, building partnerships with the active conservation organizations and the state fish and wildlife agencies.
In 2008, Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. received endorsement from the National Forum on Children and Nature as one of 30 projects (out of 560 projects submitted) nationwide that demonstrate new and creative ways to reconnect children with nature. Having grown from the partnership of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors’ takes a unique approach in getting children outdoors by focusing on at-risk children and the need to match them with a caring mentor.
