My family, along with other adoptive families and friends, are walking to help MARE raise awareness for the need for adoption of foster care children, and to raise money to help MARE find forever families for Massachusetts foster care children/teens.
We are writing to ask you to sponsor to us, join the walk, or help raise awareness.
MARE exists to find "a permanent place to call HOME" for CHILDREN in foster care, including sibling groups and children who are “traditionally harder to place.”
MARE does this by recruiting, educating, supporting and advocating for FAMILIES throughout the adoption process.
Since 1957, MARE has been finding adoptive families for children and teens in foster care. If you've seen Sunday's Child in the Boston Globe, or Wednesday's Child on WBZ TV, you've seen some of MARE’s work. MARE has helped over 5,600 children. But many more are waiting each year.
Please join ranks with our family and others, including Jordan’s Furniture’s Eliot Tatelman, WCBV anchor Bob Halloran, and NECN reporter Eileen Curran, to make this MARE annual fundraising effort a major success for Massachusetts foster care children.
