I'm raising money for CASA of Humboldt again this year.  This is my sixth year on the CASA board and I spent three years volunteering as a CASA (a Court Appointed Special Advocate for an abused and neglected child in Humboldt County).  My experiences with my CASA kid and my time on the board have taught me what a valuable resource CASA of Humboldt is for the kids here in Humboldt. 

Please donate to ensure that more kids can benefit from having a CASA.  $1000 trains and supports a CASA for one child for one year.  Currently, there are around 300 kids in the child welfare system in Humboldt County and only about 90 of them have CASAs.  Each child deserves to have a trusted adult to advocate for them in court and to be their friend.
