What is your dance experience?
“Classical dance, but that was nearly two decades ago. Trust me, the technique I spent lots of years and money studying couldn't have prepared me for the hip-shaking Samba. Are hips supposed to really move that fast??? I may need a hip replacement when this contest is over.”
Why are you doing this event?
“I love to dance and am a big fan of the reality show ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I've always wanted to learn ballroom dancing. Plus, I never pass up an opportunity to help East Tennessee Children's Hospital.”
Why should people vote for you?
“Well, I can't promise that I will master the fast hip movement, but my partner Hayden and I will give this dance everything we have. It will be entertaining to say the least! Did I mention my partner is Australian and he puts Elvis' gyrations to shame! Most importantly, your donation will directly help sick children not only in East Tennessee, but also Kentucky and Virginia. Many of these youngsters and their families spend months at a time at Children's. Your donation allows the hospital and its incredibly talented staff to treat every child that walks through its doors with quality care, state of the art technology and compassion.”
