Boston Run To Remember Half Marathon: 13 is my lucky number!
I'm running my first half marathon, Boston's Run to Remember, on May 24, 2009 with Team World Vision.
And 13 is my lucky number.
- I'm training for 13 weeks.
- A half marathon is 13.1 miles
- I'm asking for donations of $13.10.
- I'm going to run it in (much) less than 13 hours!
Team World Vision is a national team of athletes who take part in endurance events while fundraising for poverty alleviation all over the world. World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
Training for this race is a hefty time commitment (10-15 hrs per week), but I think it's one of the best ways that I can spend my time this spring because I believe so strongly in the impact World Vision has on the quality of life for millions of people. Your support is serious motivation to run those 13.1 miles!
Please support me by making a tax-deductible donation of $13.10 to this page and help me reach my goal.
