Guatemala Aid Fund
Need: The current situation in Guatemala in regards to abandoned and handicapped children has worsened greatly since 2008 with the closure of international adoptions and the lack of a supporting system to take the place for funds provided previously. With Guatemala being about the size of Tennessee, it is estimated that there are over 400,000 orphans.
Mission: The Guatemala Aid Fund family/friends effort has grown into a full scale 501(c) 3 charitable organization and due to the increased demands for funds to care for the needy in Guatemala, we have expanded our mission to support more orphanages with a much higher level of giving. We are hoping to raise more than $30,000 to provide support to more than 4 orphanages as well as other assistance programs for those in need in Guatemala. Board members have visited the locations we are including in our support program this year and are deeply moved by the situation and wish to help as much as we can. To see the details of the programs we support visit www.guatemalaaidfund.org missions.
Donating on this site is secure and efficient, all funds go directly to those in need. No salaries are paid to any of the members.
With Gratitude on behalf of children and families supported by the GAF, The Guatemala Aid Fund Thanks You.
Sincerely,
