Dear Fellow Alliance Members and Friends,

As a supporter of the Alliance to the Frederick County Medical Society, I am writing to let you know about an opportunity to support our Scholarship program while helping to beautify Frederick County.  We are participating in The BIG SWEEP!

The BIG SWEEP is a one-day County beautification project that "turns trash into cash for Frederick nonprofits".   The big sweep asks participants to collect pledges.  The participants then clean-up litter along Frederick City and County roads and in the watershed.

We are excited about participating in this community event.  Last year, 71 nonprofit organizations signed on raising over $55,000 and collecting over 15 tons of trash and recyclables and 389 tires!

As you know, The Alliance is deeply committed to our scholarship program for local students persuing a career in a medical field.  All the money raised in the BIG SWEEP will be put toward this program.

This is your chance to support a real WIN-WIN situation.  Make a tax exempt donation for the BIG SWEEP in support of the Alliance to the Frederick County Medical Society to support our Scholarship Program.  We in turn will clean up a part of Frederick City and a local student will receive a $1000.00 scholarship towards his/her dream of becoming a medical professional.
