Not so brave.....but I shaved.....and with your help..... raised $11,935 for Children's National Medical Center Cancer Programs!
For the kind people shown below thank you for your donations! Thanks, also, to these wonderful off line donors: Peg Bell, Stephanie Wolfe (the best Kinko's person in the world!), Suzanne Simon (my trusted sales manager), Sharon and Bill Rustemier, Jacquelyne Austin, Richard Pully, Donna Cramer. Dottie Mellen, Jay Eskovitz and the great people at Key Title, Jake Sullivan, Maureen Critchley, Paul Jackson, Economus, Anonymous, Stan Julbe, Sara Rubida, Donnie Wintermute, Mary Beth Tschetter, Julia Stefanelli, Jenny Hunter and my pal Bailey, Sue Walters, Virgil Mattingly, Virginia Kelley, Libby Ross, Fans of the Shaving Real Estate Champ, Grant Doe, Molly Wolff, Shanti Martin (Isaiah and Savannah's Mom), Nancy Fones (who gave me 1,000 reasons to cherish my former clients), Sally Webster, Reunions Shop of Alexandria, Marilyn Lyren, Tom Anderson, Tom Ross, Solange Ize, Faith and Jack Dunlap, Tracy Graves, Richard Dale, Charlie RameyMarty and William Merriam, Liz Schell, Ferlo's Plumbing, Bill Ballou, Melodee Melin and Ken Aughenbaugh, Carol Bartholomew, Joan and Frank Sellers, Theresa Howard, Tracy Walczak, Mark Allen, Jane Coates, Cate and Phil Brennan, and Kathy Wilson.
Annually at Children's National, more than 750 children with cancer are treated and over 75% are cured. But 75% is not enough!
Our goal is to cure 100% of the children we treat. Meeting this challenge requires the energy and involvement of many. Be Brave and Shave was successful because of kind people like you. I greatly appreciated those who came to the Be Brave and Shave event to show their support for me and this important program. You are all the best! Look for a little note from me with some more "interesting" pictures.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of my freshly-shorn head! Betsy Twigg
