As you all know, I'm Pokey's mom!!  We rescued Pokey from a shelter in November 2007.  Poke was so scared and shy when we took him home.  But he quickly became the happy, fun loving little (those who know pokey know he's not "little") fella he is today.  But when we left there, there were soooo many other animals that needed homes and love.  This is our chance to help them out!!

We now have a new baby, Minga.  She is a long hair minature dachshund, only 10 weeks old.  She has quickly become a loved part of our family and Pokey's best friend!!  Minga is too little to walk the distance yet but she will be there, daddy's gonna carry her!

If you could sponsor my family and I in our walk efforts, we would surely appreciate it.  All monies go to help out the animals in the shelter and we all know how much help they truely need.
