Animals on Broadway Pet Walk
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Spring is officially here as of today. It is a time of re-birth. Trees begin to bloom. Flowers start to sprout out of the ground. The days are becoming longer and the weather is getting better. It's also a time for ARF to prepare for the hundreds of unwanted kittens and puppies born this spring. Last night, I met the ARF rescue wagon upon their return. They were able to pull 21 little furry faces of all colors and sizes. "Indy" even had one brown and one blue eye! However, one stood out from the others with his squatty little bulldog legs and chocolate brown fur. "Baxter" was nearly 2 years old and had been housed in the county facility since he was 6 months old as he was evidence in a criminal case, Each time the rescue team would inquire if this little brown bulldog mix could join the others in the truck.. trip after trip, he watched the others leave. Finally, yesterday Baxter was release to ARF and able to join the others in the truck... it was our own re-birth of sorts and testament that ARF doesn't give up. I hope you'll consider a donation ... no gift is too small. I want to say "Yes" to more like Baxter... and hope you do too! Add your pet's name to my shirt with a donation and thank you!
