5 Years!
Time can be measured many different ways. My children think of how old and what grade they are attending. For me it has become "what number Boston is this?"
This will be my 5th year running the Boston Marathon to support the Eaton-Peabody Lab in Grandpa Rufus's memory. I am stunned to think he passed away that long ago as I still think of him daily. But in Katrina's timelime that is 3rd to 8th grade, Barbies to Boys. For Zander's timeline it means from playing with blocks to 3rd grade math, he probably cannot recall me not doing the Boston Marathon. What I consider yesterday fills almost their entire memory.
Now, running Boston has become my annual tribute to one of the greatest men I have known by raising fund for a Lab he supported. Their group of 22 Investigators within 12 Research Units are dedicated to the study of hearing and deafness. Please help me keep grandpa's tradition of supporting this important research going.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. But if you would prefer, checks may be made out to "The Foundation of the MEEI" and mailed to me at:
