On Sunday, August 10th, Horizons for Youth will again have a team of runners for the 2008 Chicago Distance Classic Half Marathon.  They are running to raise funds to support Horizons for Youth and its students.

Horizons for Youth is the only organization in Chicago offering the unique combination of need-based scholarships, one-on-one mentoring, and enrichment programs for 108 elementary (K - 8th) school students!

This page is dedicated for those who aren't on the actual race team, but would like to show their support.  $7,000 is a challenging goal, but it's also the amount needed to allow one more student to benefit from everything Horizons for Youth has to offer.  The alumni stats speak for themselves: 100% high school graduation rate and an 80% college attendance rate.
