I've made a team to honor my dad who is now fighting his second bout of cancer.  He means the world to me and to my children. We call him Bampie. He's very strong and is fighting hard for all of us and this is one simple way we can fight for him.

Please help us raise money! I hope that me and my family never have to fight this battle again and finding a cure, more effective treatments and earlier screening methods are a few ways to lesson the chance.

The five  mile walk-a-thon raises money to support research at UMass Memorial Cancer Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The Walk is proudly sponsored by the working families of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. Now, in its 11th year, over 50,000 walkers have joined the Walk to Cure Cancer and raised nearly $6 million.
