On July 7th our little Everett came into the world. He started off a little rough having to be transferred to Children's Hospital shortly after birth having issues with his lungs, his heart, his blood platelets, along with various other things. While doctors suspected but would never say for certain, a week in tests confirmed he had Trisomy 21.

Neither of us carried the gene, it was just that random exception that happens sometimes and we had no idea it was coming. We've been learning a lot about his condition since and what sort of adventure we will be having, maybe not the one we planned but an adventure nontheless which we can't wait to explore.
