Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
So, why did I become involved? The short answer is getting in touch with old friends on Facebook.
I actually work with a friend from elementary school, Beth LaCour. Through her Facebook page I found our mutual friend Cathy Paterson and also the found group "Friends of Cathy Care." Beth explains Cathy's story better than I can, because they stayed in touch over the years. (her donation page is

But, for me to hear about HD and the fact that it directly affects someone I know after so many years of being out of touch made me want to do something. And, being a musician, I decided instead of walking for hope, I would do some Rocking for Hope.
I have set up a multi-band show on January 21st at Click's on Corporate Blvd. behind Hooters. Current the lineup includes my band Noisecoil and our friends from Lit Up, Jet Set Babylon, Harvester and The Bedlamville Triflers.
Tickets are $5 in advance from any one of the bands or $5 at the door. We are also having a raffle to go along with this for $5 per ticket - prizes include Hotel stays, guitars, gift certificates for Wal-Mart, tattoo shops, music stores and more.
