Inspired by the old saying "you cannot understand a person's experience until you have walked a mile in their shoes," courageous men across Pierce County will be boldly walking in women's shoes. Why? To help raise awareness about sexual assault and to raise funds for the Sexual Assault Center of Pierce County. For over 30 years SACPC has provided victims with confidential, non-judgmental, victim centered services. Our therapists have helped hundreds of victims become "survivors." Our educations have taught thousands of children how to identify and avoid sexual assault. And day after day, year after year, our advocates have been and will continue to be available to answer calls 24/7.
Many people believe that since our name includes Pierce County that we are a county agency. We are not. Pierce County is our service area. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, supported by grants (public and private) and by gifts from people like you.
