Brazos Animal Shelter's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting the
Brazos Animal Shelter's fundraising page.
A thoughtful way to remember, and help our animal friends at the same time, is through a gift to the Brazos Animal Shelter.
Gifts may be given:
* in memory or in honor of a loved one or pet
* to honor a special occasion
* to say a special thank you
* as a holiday reminder
Where does my donation go?
Well, you get to decide. Your donations help fund everything from keeping the pets clean and safe, to spaying and neutering, to medical rescues. You choose where your donation goes.
You can choose where your donation goes...
Unrestricted Funds/General Donations: the bread and butter of the organization — supports the Shelter’s daily operations for meeting the animal’s needs.
Restricted Funds: are designated to specific projects/programs. These include:
Spay/Neuter Outreach: This fund pays for Spay/Neuter Rebates each January. It is primarily funded by $1.00 from each Brazos County License sold, but additional funds allow the Shelter to provide programs such a Low Income Spay/Neuter.
Tahoka’s Rescue Fund: A fund in the memory of Tahoka, a beloved Samoyed dog. This fund sponsors medical treatments such as Heartworm Treatment for dogs, and Half-price Adoption Events.
Capital Expansion: The Shelter is in desperate need of a new facility. This fund is to build a new building.
KIND News: The Shelter provides KIND News, an education newspaper to participating Brazos Valley Elementary Schools. Donations to this fund will help us continue providing for current classrooms, but also by providing funds for additional K-5th grade classrooms to join in.
“Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening our mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others..”
