Brenda Boyers of Tulsa, OK, loved life, and being a mother, wife, and loyal child of God. She lived each and every day to the fullest until her death on February 3, 2012, at the age of 54, after an extraordinarily courageous battle against ocular melanoma. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband and children.
As mothers do, Brenda cherished time with her family followed only by playing in the dirt. Her idea of playing in the dirt was anything from planting flowers, to building rock walls in her backyard, aka her own her own piece of heaven. Being the dynamic woman that she was and starting at being a pioneer for women in the telecom industry by climbing telephone poles and, being the first woman in Oklahoma to do so, she climbed straight up to being in project management for a major corporation….Verizon. She had a fight in her that was absolutely unimaginable! That was a contagious attribute of Brenda’s however, her passion for people and undying kindness was truly extraordinary to watch, and we had front row seats!!!
She loved art, history and most of learning new things. She always had a hunger to learn more and absolutely nothing would stop her. We believe this is what fuelled her passion for travel to such places as Venice, Paris, Greece, and Tokyo. Her mind truly was a sponge and she truly absorbed all that she could.
There were so many things to love about Brenda and it’s hard to pick one that was the best so we will not even try, we will just tell you Brenda Boyers was an amazing woman, and we are all truly lucky to have had her be a part of our lives!
Brenda’s body may be gone but her spirit and memory will live on.
