Dear Family and Friends,

On November 1, 2009 I will be participating in the "Texas Big Beat" a drumming charity event raising funds for Mr. Hollands Opus Foundation.  This event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased to attend.   I along with hundreds will perform that day as will drummers in 11 other states to raise money for these causes.    These are the two charities that will benefit:

Cherish Our Children International (COCI)
for educational programs in Houston school

and
Mr.Holland's Opus Foundation (MHOF)
for musical instruments for schools in the greater Houston area.

 

Your support would go towards The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation which donates new and refurbished musical instruments to underserved schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide, in an effort to give youngsters the many benefits of music education, help them to be better students and inspire creativity and expression through playing music.  This charity is important to me since I enjoy playing my drums and would be very sad if I couldn't play just because I didn't have enough money to buy a drumset or take lessons.

Every drummer involved has paid a fee to participate in this event. All fees go to these charities.  I am asking my friends and family to support me by donating to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.  Anything will be appreciated.  Hopefully we can set a Guiness World Record this year!
