The name is legendary; the career extraordinary. But Arnold Palmer's greatest victory came off the course in 1989 when he helped open the Hospital which bears his name. For 20 years, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has been a sanctuary of hope and healing, a place where world-class health care is available to all children when it matters most. It was built for kids, and inspired by champions.
Born in the mid-1980s in order to support Orlando Health's efforts to build a dedicated hospital to meet the community's need for comprehensive medical care for children and women, the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation helped to establish the original Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women - Central Florida's only freestanding hospital of its kind. Much has changed in Central Florida, but our community's need for quality healthcare remains.
Today, as Arnold Palmer Hospital has grown into Arnold Palmer Medical Center -- consisting of the pediatrics-only Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies -- we remain committed to supporting our community by helping sustain the excellence in medical care that we are known for.o
Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation serves as the community outreach arm of the medical center, seeking philanthropic funding from individuals, private and corporate foundations, and community and civic organizations.
As a community owned, private not-for-profit hospital where no child is ever turned away due to a family's inabilit to pay, your support is vital to the success of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Together, we can continue the legacy of caring to the residents and visitors of Central Florida.
