The Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk 2010
Was a "HUGE SUCCESS" I would like to thank all of my family and friends for being the "Best Buddies in the Whole World" You took a hot day and made it another special day I will never forget with all of your love and support.
I would like to personally thank Mrs. Wind my teacher, Abbey, Alex, Alaine and Jay, Maddy and Nate, Abby and Evan, Madalyn and Jack, Mason, Tom, Nicole, Eva, Lauren, Matt, Joe, Mel, Nick and Evan, Tom, Molly, "Polo Buddy Lubiewski" the wonder dog. I would also like to thank my new friend Teresa and her family for coming to walk with us. Looking forward to Teresa's team walking side by side Bret's Best Buddies in 2011.

Thanks to all of my Best Buddies last year, you made me, Bret Hammond the" Top Fundraiser" in the over 7 age group for the 2009 Buddy Walk. Being the top fundraiser earned me the right to throw out the first pitch to Albert Pujols at the "Walk In the Park for Down Syndrome" last October. Since I was able to be with Albert at first base the year before and wanted to share that "once in a life time experience", I donated my first pitch to my friend Hannah Benson. My Best Buddies have taught me the value of giving the last 3 years, helping me donate over $32,000.00 to the DSAGSL. Your love and support for me and for all of my Down Syndrome friends is a true blessing from above. The last 3 years have been an unbelievable inspiration to me, my Mom and Dad. If you CAN afford to donate this year, it will be greatly appreciated. If you can't, we understand.
If by chance my Buddies raise enough money to earn me a spot on the field again this year, I will donate it to another Down Syndrome friend so he or she can have a once in a life time experience like Hannah and I had.
