Summer is winding down and football season is gearing up.  What that also means is that it is time again for the Marine Corp Marathon.  This is my third year in a row running this race and collecting donations for Operation Second Chance.  I appreciate the past support and hope to collect more money this year for the soldiers than the past two years. 

The marathon this year is on October 31st, Halloween.  In the spirit of Halloween, I am upping the ante on donations this year.  I am running a contest for my donors and whoever donates the most to Operation Second Chance on behalf of me will be able to choose my outfit for the marathon.  Yes, I will run the race in a costume* of your choice if you are the largest donor.  This is your chance to donate money to a great cause for soldiers and embarrass me at the same time, could it get any better than this? 

As always there are different ways to donate.  First is through this secure web page online, the second is a personal check made out to Operation Second Chance.  Personal checks can either be handed to me directly or mailed to my home at 1600 Spring Gate Drive unit 2106 McLean VA 22102.  The third option is to come to Bob Nelson's charity night where Operation Second Chance is the highlighted charity for the month of October.  Details about the charity night will be sent out later.
