Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Chicago will be my second marathon, and I'm excited that I can do something more than just run this race - I can run it well AND help raise funds for a wonderful organization.

Your contribution will not pass Go or collect $200.00, but will go straight to the general fund of World Vision, a Christian humanitarian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide by tackling the causes of poverty and HIV/AIDS.

The United Nations estimates that over 6,000 children are orphaned by AIDS every day - that comes out to one every 14 seconds. The problem is especially egregious in sub-Saharan Africa, where as many as 2 million children are infected with AIDS right now. If that were not enough, many of these children regularly experience extreme poverty, hunger, genocide, and tribal warfare. What can be done about this? These problems seem insurmountable, but  World Vision is in the trenches in Africa and around the globe, helping the world’s most desperate children. Please partner with me in supporting their work.
