Sailing has been a passion of mine for many years.  It not only brings opportunity for excitement and relaxation, but also brings a sense of balance and control that is essential in living successfully with Cystic Fibrosis. 

To me, sailing is much like living with CF.  It takes a force that theoretically should push you backwards, or even knock you over, and harnesses that resistance as a driving force that propels you forward.  I choose to view CF in the same way, as my reason for focussing on being healthy and living an active lifestyle. 

With that attitude, I aim to help others living with CF to see the benefit of this challenge in their life.  They don't have to be taken over by it, but can use it as a driving force.
