Brian Klotzman's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to run my first marathon at the 2009 Boston Marathon as part of Team EMC. As a team we raised over $100,000 for the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center. This year I'm not on Team EMC, but am still raising money for the Respite Center.
I have two goals this year:
1. Raise twice as much money for the Respite Center as I did last year
2. Run the marathon in 4:30 (almost an hour shorter than last year’s 5:20:04)
I would really appreciate it if you could make a donation towards these goals. The Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center is a wonderful organization with great people that I got to know last year. The work they do truly affects the lives of everyone they work with. I know that right now is a difficult time for many of us to make donations, but when you consider how even a small donation will affect the lives of these wonderful people, I urge you to give what you can.
All donations are secure and sent directly to Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center by Firstgiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation.
You can also donate by check if you would rather do that, just drop me a note.
The Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center is a non-profit organization whose mission it is to create a home away from home for children and young adults with disabilities. The funds I raise contribute 100% to scholarships supporting families who are unable to cover the costs associated with assisted care. In many cases, the Respite Center actually employs people who are mentally and physically challenged themselves--a great benefit that gives them added self-confidence and independence.
Take a moment to visit the website (www.hopkintonrespite.com) to learn more about the Respite Center's program.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
