In 2008 at age 27 I started running after I had difficulty getting life insurance. I was obese and I had high cholesterol.  In August of 2008 I ran my first half marathon with my brothers in Virginia Beach.  I've lost 45lbs and my cholesterol is way down.

Last year I ran to help myself. This year we run to help others. Look at the picture. I feel beat after I run but we can all feel good knowing that we're helping discover a cure for carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and to eliminate the suffering of patients, families, and caregivers affected by NETs.
