My wonderful wife Dana was diagnosed with PH approximately 6 years ago.  The PH Team @ Columbia is excellent, caring and on the cutting edge in terms of new medicines, treatment, and support groups.  Dana has had a difficult past 18 months, many hospitalizations, two (2) pacemaker procedures and what seems like endless doctor appointments.  Dana, as of late, is making progress, healing little by little every day and is an inspiration to everyone around her by her strength, relentlessness, and intestinal fortitude.  I, as a caregiver, always do my best to ensure her safety, health and overall well-being.  Although it is difficult at times, The Race to Find a Cure, is a constant goal and reminder, and allows us to stay focused, upbeat, and strong in the face of adversity, and in the occurrance of a setback.  I, along with others successfully was able to raise approximately $ 6, 000 for the 4th Annual NY Fun Walk for PH.  I also estimate approximately 30 participants for Dana alone.  My goal this year is to triple the amount of walkers and raise at least $ 10, 000 to present to the PH Association.
